What is Best Foot Forward (BFF) Day
BFF day is day for teachers to provide live 1:1, or small group support to their students as they work on missed assessments or to redo tasks on which they underperformed. Students tasks on these days may be customized to the specific needs of each student. No new lessons, and no "new" assessments will be scheduled on these days.
It is an opportunity for students to ensure that they have put their "Best Foot Forward" as we head into a report card cycle. Student may be given second opportunities on assignments, complete missed assessments/tests, or work that should be re-done so that students can be sure they have fully demonstrated all they are capable of! Students who are already exceeding expectations in a particular class may use the time for study, review, or to work ahead on more challenging material that will come later in their class/course.
BFF dates for Winter 2022:
- Grades 7/8: Tuesday January 11th
- Grades 9-12: Monday Jan 17th (Week 1 - Class A and B) and, Monday Jan 24th (Week 2 - Class C and D)
