Power Outages and virtual classes today...
We hope everyone is safe after yesterday's weather and that power is restored to all homes soon.
We anticipate that with close to 60,000 Ottawa homes that are still without power, online classes today may be significantly disrupted.
Many staff members and students will not have access today,
In cases where the teacher has access/power, classes will go on as usual, with an understanding that many students may be away.
When a teacher can not connect to the class, students should do their best to work on prior content/assignments. Students should check in to their virtual classes at various points throughout the day as teachers may be able to join once their power is restored.
