Ottawa-Carleton Virtual (OCV) Secondary School - Registration
The deadline to register with OCVSS for the 2023-2024 school year is tomorrow (February 14, 2023).

Current OCVSS students whom we do not hear from will be automatically registered for in-personal learning at their OCDSB "Home School" for next year. No action is required if this is what you want.
If you would like to continue at OCVSS for the 2023-24 school year:
You must complete the Request to Register Form by February 14, 2023.

By the end of February, OCV will reach out to parents/guardians to confirm with families who have registered for OCV for September 2023.
It is important that all families registering with OCV for remote classes for the 2023-24 school year understand the requirements and limitations of the program:
- Registering with OCV is for the entire school year (Sept 2023 - June 2024). There will not be an opportunity to switch back to in-person learning during the year.
- Students must be living in Ottawa full-time in order to remain enrolled in OCVSS. Extended travel is not permitted. Students will not be able to access courses from outside of Ottawa and will be withdrawn if attempting to do so.
- Students must be logged in and actively participating in their live virtual class meetings each day from 9am to 3:30 pm.
- Students must be prepared to participate using web cam and microphone to interact with staff and peers when needed.
- Class meetings are the same length/format as in-person learning (300 minutes per day of "live") classes.
- Some courses and graduation requirements may require in-person participation at an OCDSB site (to be determined based on the student's course of study).
