The OSSLT (Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test) is expected to be a graduation requirement for all students graduating in the 2022-2023 school year.
OCVSS will provide grade 12 and 11 students an opportunity to write the OSSLT this spring. Grade 10 students will have the opportunity to write the OSSLT next year in their home schools or at OCVSS (if they are registered to return).
Grade 12 that still haven’t written (or taken the Literacy Course instead) and all Grade 11 students will receive an email this week asking them to complete a form to indicate their plans for meeting the Literacy graduation requirement. Please complete this form by no later than Tuesday February 28, 2023. CHECK YOUR EMAIL!
Students who do not complete this requirement can not be awarded a diploma. Additional details regarding in-person writing of the test and appointment times will be provided via email to those that register.
